Research Grant in Japan to start and evaluate Meeting Centres

We are very happy to announce that recently TOMOYUKI  YABUKI. Associate professor and manager of the Center for Dementia Care Research and Practices at TOHOKU FUKUSHI UNIVERSITY, in SENDAI in Japan received a national research grant to start up and evaluate 10 model Meeting Centres in Japan. To this end a preliminary Japanese translation of the Meeting Centres guide was composed of which the final version will be published in Spring 2022.

MEETINGDEM is a European JPND funded project aimed to implement and evaluate the innovative Meeting Centers Support Programme (MCSP) for community dwelling people with dementia and their carers. The project in Italy was funded by the Ministry of Health (Milan) and the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) (Bologna), in Poland by the National Centre for Research and Development, in the United Kingdom by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and in the Netherlands by ZonMw.
