Opening Meeting Center in Wroclaw, Poland

The first Meeting Center in Wrocław, Poland, is already opened! The Meeting Centre is running as a part of a new build Day Care Home “Na Ciepłej” (that means on the Warm Street :)) for elderly and mentally disabled people. The opening ceremony took place on 3rd October 2015. The building was opened by the President of Wrocław City Rafał Dutkiewicz, the Director of Social Department of Wrocław City Jacek Sutryk, the Director of Wrocław’s Welfare Organisation Anna Józefiak – Materna, the Rector of the Wroclaw Medical University prof. Marek Ziętek and  the leader of MeetingDem project in Poland prof. Joanna Rymaszewska. We also hosted local authorities, members of the Polish parliament and members of Initiative Groups of Wrocław’s Meeting Centre. The launch was connected with the local community picnic. Children could take part in outdoor games. For adults, little cafes and restaurants were open. During the day we could listen to many local folk music bands and watch the theatrical arts played by children from kindergarten. We had a lovely celebration at the Meeting Centre opening!
