Information Meeting second Meeting Centre UK

Leominster Meeting Centre Information Meeting was held at Grange Court on Thursday 8th October 2015 and was attended by 52 people representing many different organisations and facets of the community. The meeting was opened by the Mayor of Leominster – Councillor Felicity Norman and there was a great deal of interest in how the Centre for people with dementia and carers will develop. It is due to open early 2016 and the first Initiative Group meeting will be held on the 28th October.

MEETINGDEM is a European JPND funded project aimed to implement and evaluate the innovative Meeting Centers Support Programme (MCSP) for community dwelling people with dementia and their carers. The project in Italy was funded by the Ministry of Health (Milan) and the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) (Bologna), in Poland by the National Centre for Research and Development, in the United Kingdom by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and in the Netherlands by ZonMw.
